We’ve just said goodbye to our beautiful niece, who came to visit form the UK. She’s twenty and just beautiful. Everything about her trip had Gods favour and blessings all over it. Even the messages in church we’re perfect! Don’t you just love when the Holy Spirit works like that. On her second weekend here we had guest speakers at church, Pastors Adam and Anita White, Senior Pastors from Meadows Church and leaders of New Life Churches International. Ps Anita spoke at our woman’s event on true worth and who we are in Christ, it was a real relevant down to earth word. Perfect.
On the Sunday Ps Adam White spoke on tapping the cage ‘So I write these things while I am absent from you, that when I come to you I may not have to deal sharply in my authority which The Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down’ 2 Corinthians 13:10
its amazing how this confirmed exactly Ellie’s trip and visit here. Life when you’re twenty isn’t always clear cut or straight forward but just spending quality time and confirmation from that message showed us that we haven’t not only tapped on her cage but we have also opened the door, setting her free to fly into the person God has created her to be.
Tapping on someone’s cage is so important, allowing a person to be set free or just encouraging them to take their first flight out of their cage is something we have all been called to do. Our aim should be to encourage, love, empower and inspire our sisters and brothers.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Do you know of a cage that’s got a beautiful bird inside that needs to be tapped on and encouraged to take it’s first flight? Tap on the cage so that beautiful bird inside can spread its wings and fly. We did and the results have been instant, amazing and inspirational to all of us.
