Well I’m English and you know the national dish is/was Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas! I think the national dish maybe curry now but I’m staying with this one! I’m often looked at weirdly when I express my love for mushy peas! Gosh I just love them!
I love Jamie Olivers cooking too, he’s so rustic which suits my throw everything together personality! This recipe I have attached from Jamie Olivers fifteen minute meals is my favourite and very very simple! The boys love it and its a total winner in our house!
Who says you have to be in England to enjoy mushy peas!? I’ll also let you into a secret they sell the tinned variety in New World in the English section too!

I have always enjoyed mushy peas, but as an American I’ll assert that peas are best served in Masala or curry. I’m sure neither is our national dish.
