Morning lovely ladies,
Some of you will know parts of my story, others will know it all and some of you may not know a thing.
My hubby and I had a dream to build our own home, so we made it happen and through hard work and tears we moved into our ‘dream’ when work slowed down in the GFC for Neil, God presented an opportunity to come here to New Zealand and work. Our lovely home never got fully finished and had to go on the market as was! Fast forward two years of hard uphill financial struggles and we saw everything we had worked towards slip through our fingers and back into the hands of the bank (insert big sigh!)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
This last year though, has seen us grow in faith, in strength, in grace and in trust for what God has planned for us. I’d like to say we’ve had a rest this year, that Gods given us the time to recharge, he’s provided where we never could and he’s also done a work in us that I didn’t think was possible.
Now after my trip back to the sunny climes of Australia I’ve been reflecting, some good some bad thoughts but the biggest revelation of all came from a gorgeous friend in the school car park.
‘Its the beginning not the end’
The power of that statement has sparked a fire in my belly, a fire that I thought could never be lit again!
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
Its time. Time for what? who knows but I feel its time to keep that fire lit, to feed it and keep going. You may have to climb mountains, you may get lost in the sometimes overgrown valleys but know that his plans surpass anything you could ever dream of if you walk by faith and not by sight.
For we walk by Faith not by sight – 2Corinthians 5:7
Its time….eek…to to begin again. Its the beginning not the end. Excited much.
