Don’t worry be Happy

Evening ladies,

I’m a tad late today as my lovely parents are here and I have been busy tiki touring them around!! As I move into a new life changing season the old faithful has set in – yup WORRY it should be a swear word it really should! That W word again, I mean who needs it and what benefits does it have for any one NONE.  A big capital NONE. Far out.  I’m learning and my coping mechanisms are improving but when it arrives the big W sits straight in the pit of my belly like a lead balloon and consumes everything.  NOT anymore though I’m getting better and quicker at catching it before it sets roots down!!!

Worry never wins. Trusting in God never fails.

Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Todays trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6v34

Most of the things we worry about never even happen, what a waste of our time and emotional energy. I have been the victim of my own worry allowing it to consume me into panic attacks and sleeplessness. Its really difficult to realise the time you start allowing the worry to take over but this year I am really learning to give my worries to God. When I feel consumed by my worry I have had to make a conscious effort to turn my worried thoughts into prayers .
The outcome is amazing! Once you turn your worries into prayers you immediately feel Gods peace as the heaviness lifts off and the more you dig deeper into the word of God and his way the worrying becomes less.

Don’t be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philipians 4v6

My biggest fear and the one that can start off as a tiny concern can blow up into sleepless nights and panic is the fear of loosing my children. Its so silly and really can grow from nothing. The enemy knows our weak spots and that’s where he will plant worry.

The Enemy does not come except to steal, kill and destroy. John 10v10
He knows what he is doing. Turn it all immediately to prayer.

There are so many scriptures on worry I could go on forever. Use them this week, stick the one that ministers to you the most on your fridge or mirror, meditate on it and watch how your worry fades and your peace rises.

Here’s a song to keep your week happy….Enjoy my friends and remember worry less PRAY more x

Massive Love
