Run your race – part three

Hey girls,

Part 3, a little late but here you go, the final part of this series….. Enjoy X

When we choose to focus on Jesus, life has a clear direction and a purpose, he is by no means saying its going to be easy, or be a walk in the park after all he says in Hebrews 12:1….

Therefore since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witness to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that trips us up, and let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initates and perfects our faith..let us not get distracted by sin, let us not get distracted and lose our focus.

Finishing well is everything. Finishing with our focus on Jesus is everything. In this race, we are not competing with other believers. We’re all on the same team. Its like my half marathon when I start that race I can’t make up my own course. If I stray from the course, I’ll be disqualified. The race is “set before us,”
To finish the Christian marathon, it’s important to keep in mind at all times that the Sovereign God sets the course.

You may not like parts of the course. You may be prone to grumble, “Why did the course have to go over this hill, or through this swamp?” The answer is, “Because God planned it this way.” You won’t be able to run by faith unless you submit your will to His will.

Running with endurance requires adopting a certain mindset. It requires focus and concerntration not comparison.
Sauls jealousy of David made him switch lanes, it made him compare not concerntrate, he got distracted he lost his path and decided to take another course, not the one God had marked out for him. He looked more to what David was doing than to what God wanted him to do. He was comparing.

Know that the best possible You may not be as successful as your neighbor but that’s okay. The best you may not be as thin as your sister but that’s fine. The best you, may not be as talented or as dynamic or as outgoing as u\your co-worker but that’s alright too. Be comfortable with the person God made you to be. You cant distracted and lose your focus by comparing yourself to others.
